A calm morning… before the storm of emotions
As a dedicated wedding photographer in Provence, capturing the story of S and H’s special day at La Grange de Javon was a dream come true. This little corner of paradise, nestled at the foot of Mont Ventoux, set the perfect stage for their unforgettable celebration.The morning began peacefully, with breakfast shared with their immediate family, lively chats in the sunshine, and even a refreshing dip in the pool.
Then, it was time for the preparations, surrounded by a relaxed yet excited atmosphere. “I have magical memories of this moment: surrounded by my friends and my mom, pampered by Billy and Clyde for make-up and Alek Say for hair. It was a bit like a movie!” recalls Sandra.
The secular ceremony, held under the shade of ancient trees, was a moving celebration of love. With heartfelt speeches and the exchange of vows, it left everyone deeply touched—there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.
Lavender, cocktails and energy
After the emotional ceremony, it was time to relax and enjoy a Provençal-style cocktail hour. Imagine blooming lavender fields, a gentle mistral breeze, and a talented musical duo playing seventies tunes. Guests savored local specialties while soaking up the unique charm of Provence.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, we stole away for a couple’s session amidst the lavender fields, capturing the golden light and the purple hues of the season. Dinner took place in the rustic stone courtyard, beautifully illuminated by candles and string lights—a detail I always emphasize for its impact on the ambiance.
“We wanted a meal to share for the conviviality, and our guests are still talking about it months later!” shared Sandra.
Surprise dance and wild party
The couple surprised everyone by opening the dance floor with a tango to music by Gotan Project—a result of two months of practice. “We’re not dancers, but the surprise effect was there!” Sandra said.
From there, the celebration turned into a lively party under the stars, continuing into the next day with a relaxed brunch by the pool.
An unforgettable photographic experience
Capturing this wedding was truly a privilege. The golden light of the Luberon, the warm and joyous atmosphere, and the elegance of S and H made it a photographer’s dream. Their natural connection and radiant smiles brought every shot to life.
The sunset session in the lavender fields was a highlight, and I even included some silver photography to preserve the timeless charm of the day. Moments like these remind me why I love my job as a wedding photographer in Luberon Provence.
