Welcome Dinner at Le Plongeoir: the opening of an exceptional weekend
Emily and Octave’s wedding celebrations began the day before the wedding with a memorable welcome dinner at Le Plongeoir, this iconic seaside venue in Nice set above the water. All the guests had traveled from the United States, and the emotion and joy were palpable from the very first moments.
For Emily and Octave, it was an intimate and heartfelt evening, in a soft atmosphere carried by the sound of the Mediterranean waves. A small dinner with their families, followed by a lively party with friends, right by the water’s edge. It was the perfect way to begin these three days of celebration.
This first evening set the tone: elegant, festive, and intimate.
Getting Ready in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat: emotions before the ceremony
The following morning, we headed to Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat for Emily’s preparations. A vibrant energy filled the house. Together with my talented videographer colleagues, Pierre and Julie, we captured these moments.
As a wedding photographer, these preparation moments are incredibly meaningful. They hold a quiet tension, excitement, and shared glances before the “I do.” These suspended moments often reveal the most genuine and intimate emotions.
We then made our way to Domaine du Mont Leuze to finalize the bride’s preparation and capture the groom’s, more brief but just as meaningful.
Ceremony and reception at Domaine du Mont Leuze: an exceptional setting for unforgettable memories
Perched above Villefranche-sur-Mer, the Domaine offers breathtaking panoramic views over the bay, the coastline, and the Mediterranean Sea. It was my first time at this extraordinary venue, and I must admit I was completely captivated by a view I know so well.
The floral design by La Blonde et le Barbu blended perfectly with the setting, creating an elegant, soft, and refined atmosphere.
Photographing this wedding was an absolute joy: the light, the open spaces, the terraces, and the Mediterranean character of the venue all contributed to timeless, luminous images. Highlights included the walk down the aisle, the exchange of vows, heartfelt speeches, a cocktail overlooking the sea, dinner curated by Les Entremetteurs by Gusto Family, and a first dance at sunset.
Three days of joy, friendship, family… and memories captured on film and digital
This wedding — three intense days filled with family gatherings, friends traveling from afar, tender moments, celebrations, and dancing — was a perfect reflection of sincere love and a celebration that was both intimate and grand.
From the seaside welcome dinner to the preparations in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, to the magical setting of Domaine du Mont Leuze, every moment mattered.
As a photographer, I had the privilege of capturing not only the beauty of a wedding, but also its energy, emotions, deep connections, and the unique atmosphere of an unforgettable weekend.
