Intimate elopement in Nice
An Intimate WEDDING in the Heart of Nice
A romantic and intimate elopement in Nice, South of France
An Intimate Elopement in Old Town Nice
Catana and John chose to get married in Nice, from traditions, embracing simplicity above all. Just the two of them, no guests, with a deep desire to fully experience every moment. Together, we imagined a fluid, effortless day, almost like a quiet walk through the city, leaving space for spontaneity and the natural beauty of each location.
Between New York and the South of France
They met in New York one evening by chance, before building a relationship that reflects who they are: artistic, sensitive, and free. Catana, a well-known American illustrator, and John share a love for simple things, honest imagery, and real moments. For their wedding, they dreamed of a romantic setting, and the South of France quickly became an obvious choice. It was their first time in Nice, and I guided them through the city to find its most beautiful and meaningful locations.
A Guided Walk Through the Heart of Nice
I led them through the places that define the soul of Nice. Their ceremony took place overlooking the sea, on Castle Hill, followed by a slow wander through the narrow streets of Old Town Nice, with no fixed plan.
Turning a corner, we unexpectedly came across a group of local musicians playing traditional songs. A suspended, magical moment where Catana and John danced and laughed freely. We later stopped at a small café Brasserie des Mimosas, on Cours Saleya for a glass of prosecco. Their eyes were shining as everything suddenly felt real.
A Simple, Honest and Lively Day
Nothing was staged. Only movement, light, glances, and that feeling of freedom. Images captured instinctively, like fragments of a film. This intimate elopement in Old Town Nice tells another way of getting married: more simple, more spontaneous, deeply sincere. A day that truly reflects who they are, and that I had the privilege to document closely. I truly love this format.
