A Parisian Interlude – Couple Photography Along the Seine
This Parisian session with C. and O., my future bride and groom whom I would meet again a few months later in the South of France for their wedding, is a little glimpse of what I love to create on a wedding day.
Spring was slow to arrive in Paris. A cool breeze followed us through the streets, but that didn’t stop C. from wandering around the city bare-legged. We made a much-needed stop at a Parisian café to warm up before continuing our walk.
C., who works in fashion, wanted a session that felt spontaneous, natural and editorial. We wandered through Paris throughout the day, stopping whenever we found beautiful light or a patch of sunshine warming the streets. There was no real itinerary — just the city, the light and the two of them.
Between Spontaneous and Editorial -Why Choose?
Some images are completely spontaneous, while others are a little more editorial. I particularly love this kind of couple session, which I photograph less often these days, but which I always enjoy creating for my future wedding clients.
A pause before the wedding, with no fixed plan and no rigid poses. Simply taking the time to walk, discover the city and be together. Paris becomes the backdrop, the light leads the way, and the photographs naturally move between genuine moments and more editorial compositions.
Now I’m dreaming of creating more sessions like this during my few-month stay in Berlin.
